HOW TO AVOID CHARITY FRAUD
Unfortunately, there are a number of organizations who are taking advantage of people who want to help those in need. We want you to be informed and know that The Step and Think Pink BCA Foundation is on the up & up. Click here to see Step and Think Pink's Articles of Incorporation.

First and foremost, rely on your instincts. If you don't feel good about an organization or its cause, have nothing to do with them. At the very least, check them out. Here are some things to look for...

The Best defense against breast cancer is a good offense. There are no perfect solutions, but you can do many things to reduce your risk of developing the disease.

Risk Factors
The Best defense against breast cancer is a good offense. There are no perfect solutions, but you can do many things to reduce your risk of developing the disease.

Race and Ethnicity
White women are slightly more likely to develop breast cancer than are African-American women. African-American women are more likely to die of this cancer. At least part of this seems to be because African-American women tend to have more aggressive tumors, although why this is the case is not known. Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American women have a lower risk of developing and dying from breast cancer.

I Open My Heart
I had the pleasure of meeting Geanie Asante, a young lady who is a cancer survivor. She wrote a book entitled, I Open My Heart. In this book, she gives account of her fight to overcome the dreadful disease. If you are battling breast or any kind of cancer her story is one that will encourage & inspire you. To purchase a copy of her book Click Here.
